I wonder what great luck I must have had
To be born in a Sikh family
And be a daughter of such great Gurus
I feel proud
I feel blessed!
Our ten Gurus who gave us a Guru to the eternity
Guru Granth Sahib,
When I know I’m bowing to true wisdom
Untouched by the blind faiths of
Black magic, babas and idolism.
I feel blessed
When I look in the mirror
And I see a beautiful being looking back at me,
A marvelous creation of God, A Sikh
I don’t need a haircut or shaving
To look different or special
I know I’ve been created just perfect
I feel confident
I feel blessed
When I see the neatly tied turban
Of my Sikh Veers and gentlemen
And their heads held high
Outshining the crowds
In every sphere
And yet when it comes to family and friends
Their king sized hearts are full of compassion and care
I’m proud to belong to this magnificent family
I feel blessed.
A morning that starts with nitnem
A day that’s blessed with Guru’s Hukamnama
An ardaas for the good health and happiness for all
My Guru Granth Sahib Ji
Is selfless, demandless and ever giving
A Guru that gives without asking
A guru that knows without telling
In the ever generous shadow of my Guru
I feel blessed
When I go to my Guru seeking some answers
And read the Hukamnama blessed upon me
A hundred doubts are solved and a million doors open up
Several lamps illuminate my way
And all hurdles seem to blur away
When I’m scared I remember my Guru
And the fears vanish away in a miracle.
I feel so secure
I feel blessed
Wherever I go… Whatever I do
I’m constantly guided by my Guru
To follow the God inside me
I follow his path fearlessly
They say the path will be difficult
For me it’s simple and crystal clear
They say you’ll find a hurdle with each step
But I can only see my God getting near
I feel blessed
As the day ends and I look back
I find I’ve learnt something everyday
And I thank my Guru for keeping me
From going astray
‘coz life’s got’s it ups and downs
If there are smiles, there are also frowns
But then my Guru holds me tight
When he’s by me I know I’ll be right
To find my Guru, My God always with me
I feel blessed
I read truth… I believe in only truth
The ultimate truth of God
I read good… I do good
And so also become my thoughts
I read pure… I am sure
It’s my Guru purifying my soul
Every message, every sentence is so complete
The jigsaw pieces of my life seem to come together
And show me a picture so divine and whole.
To have my Guru in my home,
A boundless ocean of knowledge
I feel blessed
My Guru is omniscient
My Guru is omnipresent
My Guru is omnipotent
My Guru, is the universal truth
My Guru, Guru Granth Sahib Ji
Is for every Sikh, every religion
Every child, aged and youth
My Guru knows no caste, no colour, no borders
Being one of the lucky children of such Guru
I feel blessed
As we celebrate the tercentenary
Of our Guru who’s guided all
Is guiding and will remain the true guide till eternity
Not like perishable idols and mortal beings
But the immortal truth, the inextinguishable lighthouse
Guru Granth Sahib Ji
When I see I have a Guru that’ll always keep me awake to
The good, the bad and the truth of life
Being a Sikh baccha of your endless batch of lucky disciples
Who has found the treasure of Wisdom
Wisdom that the earlier great teachers compiled
Into this most precious account I read and follow every day
I feel blessed
