Anatomy of My Mom

Though most of us know where we come from…
I wonder what all together makes up a mom.
Of course unconditional love is the characteristic of every parent
But what is it that still makes mom n dad different.

So here is what I’ve found with my experience
Don’t know where to start from
A small effort to put together and express
The anatomy of the ultimate persona I call my Mom

To begin with is a head full or worries
A mind that’s forever in a hurry
From the tea in bed to the last green tea
This super computer manages a madhouse of a home
Not everyone’s cup of tea

Then there are her eyes, filled with compassion
And besides there’s a third one reading your every expression
It can see before you say a thing
Be it a troubling thought or
An extra cup of tea you’re craving!

There’s a mouth that always says the most amazing things
From the biggest advice to sweet nothings!
The lips that forever shower kisses and blessings
Even a scold comes out with love dripping.

Her heart like all us is a pumping organ
But it pumps not just blood…
It’s a sea of love that sends love to her arms and hands
The arms that engulf everyone in their over whelming flood…
It pours into the hugs and every meal
Her midas touch reaches every heart with its magical feel

Her stomach is however surprisingly small
With an even smaller appetite
She’ll put herself the smallest portions
and before you know her stomach’s stuffed tight
and while you’re busy wiping off her amazing preparations
She’ll be blissfully feeding on your delight

Her lap never ceases to be my favorite pillow
For the warmth and calm and love it emanates
In lazy mornings and times of sickness or tension
This is where I find ultimate relaxation

Her legs never tire in going that extra mile
Their only destination seems to be your smile
And when you’ll think she’s done her all
She’s still on her feet waiting to bring your way another windfall

Her capacity to love is unimaginable
And to top it all is a soul so pure
Being with her you always seem to know
Your problems will find their cure
She completes my dreams, my thoughts and me
Her embrace perfectly fits me into it
Whatever angle I chose to hug her from…
Maybe God’s made her this way,
That’s briefly put the anatomy of world’s bestest mom!
